Meet the Founders
Josh Cogan
A former Baptist Pastor turned public policy advocate, Josh Cogan brings extensive experience in legislative work and advocacy to Elect Better. His background in founding a nonprofit focused on LGBTQ youth homelessness through policy reform demonstrated the crucial impact of informed policy-making on vulnerable communities. With expertise in drafting legislation at all government levels and serving on various nonprofit and political boards, Josh combines his passion for social justice with practical policy expertise to advance Elect Better's mission of informed democratic participation.
Julius Washington
A Georgetown alumnus (Class of '22) and accomplished entrepreneur, Julius Washington brings his expertise in technology and business development to Elect Better. His experience in building innovative solutions, combined with his passion for civic engagement, drives our mission to make voter information more accessible. Julius leverages his background in engineering and his network of industry professionals to develop tools that empower voters and strengthen democratic participation.
